What can we say? With 10+ years recruitment experience across both corporate and boutique agencies, we’ve seen the problems companies face as a direct result of the lack of representation in companies within the start-up and scale-up space. Luckily, with every problem we’ve been part of the solution, the staffing solution built on a decade of cultivating an effective hiring strategy with diversity at its core.
Our Journey
The Present
There was only so much change we could make within the confines of other agencies, we had to build our own community. BlocRecruitment was born out of the desire to build an inclusive marketplace, with each candidate and each client at the epicentre of that marketplace. No pointless KPIs or metrics that serve no one but the big corporate bosses; instead a real community built from making the right decisions, for the right reasons, at the right times.

The tech’ workplace needs to become more and more inclusive, more broad in it’s hiring mindset and more open to the change we all know is important and crucial to our future. Not just in tech! Founder
I’m Alix the Founder of Bloc Recruitment.
With over 10 years’ experience recruiting for Start-up’s and Scaleup’s. I’m not afraid to say I’m very good at what I do, you should think after 10 years 🙂
I set up Bloc Recruitment for a number of reasons, but the main driving factor was representation. Having started out in a corporate setting and then moving to a more boutique agency, I felt I didn’t see enough diversity across Leadership or Ownership in the industry as a whole. This really bothered me and the same seemed to be the case when it came to the candidates in my market.
