The commercial side of sport still runs on guesswork, this company is rebuilding that from the ground up: measuring what brands actually receive across broadcast, social and press, converting it into commercial value, and making every number traceable to what produced it.
They’re two months from launch and already delivering a paid engagement inside a major manufacturer’s commercial ecosystem, with live conversations at one of Europe’s largest broadcasters, with national audience-measurement bodies, and in Formula 1. Backed by an established sports investor with genuine standing in the industry — which makes this a rare chance to build in sport rather than adjacent to it.
The role
🛠 Build, ship and refine the platform hands-on
⚙️ Maintain and upgrade the existing backend and computer vision capabilities
🧠 Decide what gets built and what doesn’t
📈 Own hiring and managing the engineering team as it grows
🤝 Sit directly in front of sophisticated clients and translate what they need into product
What they need to see
→ Next.js and TypeScript, Python, GCP or AWS, Postgres
→ Startup experience, plus at least one live SaaS product you shipped that’s in use today
→ Backend-deep, multi-tenant SaaS, strong on data-intensive systems
→ Comfortable with ML environment
→ Ideal shape: big-tech or high-calibre scale-up pedigree, then actually built something in a small team
→ Pre-seed appetite, willingness to work in a unstructured startup environment.
